Bare Knuckle Flash

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I bring my camera with me everywhere I go, looking for interesting angles, stealing a quick shot, and hoping to capture moments that speak for themselves. For the most part I keep things simple both in terms of the images and the words used to talk about or not to talk about them. The phrase bare knuckle suggests a kind of rough and tumble attitude, a coarse style, an unfinished aesthetic. But it also references the grind of everyday life, the raw nature of simple moments captured by the lens. The word flash is what it is, a common, simple photography term and yet potentially evocative of much more. Put the two together and you get this blog.
