Welcome! For proper introductions and a mission statement of sorts please see the “about” page. This is my first post in this new space. Please make yourself comfortable and feel free to engage in a dialogue.

“I ride the bus everyday to get to work. The route starts in Seattle’s southside residential neighborhoods, goes through the old factory district, and on to the heart of downtown. The route is, in many ways, a journey through time; from the old cracking wood and chipped brick homes, the rusted railroads, retired trucks and black smoked chimneys of empty factories, straight to the pinnacles of modernity that are the new downtown high-rises. The contrast is startling and yet very much the norm across America’s aging and advancing metropolitan hubs. Sitting on this bus, staring out the window into the early morning as people shuffle about their business, I am reminded of how much has come before me and how much lies ahead. The thing is, even when going on a routine trek, you never truly know what the next turn will bring.”
