…do I have endless opportunities to photograph rain. Is this something other people wish for? Are there amateur photographers the world over going, “Argh! I wish it were raining right now so I could take some amazing pictures of falling beads of water!” If there are, Seattle is the place to be. We get all kinds of rain; soft, sprinkling showers, torrential downpour, quick summer drizzles, general showers, misty glows, and flat out, totally normal drenchers. That’s Seattle weather for you, every variety of precipitation you could ask for when you want it the least. But in truth I love the rain, and I love photographing the rain. I’m sure there are thousands of interesting ways to capture rain, and I intend to find every last one. Windows are a bonus because, seriously how cool is water on glass?
