The trouble with my photography is that I don’t have any amazing subjects to shoot. I’m a full time student with a part time job. I live a normal life, do normal things, and see normal views. I don’t scale mountains and take photos from above the clouds, I don’t climb in jungles and hang upside down for the perfect shot. I don’t discover new vistas or trace human history through photography.

My daily life is relegated to the simple moments, the small things. And so I try to find in these moments something worth sharing, something visually interesting, often overlooked but caught by my eye. I suppose then, that is the challenge: to make the decidedly ordinary appear extraordinary. How am I doing so far?

  1. I think you’re doing pretty good. I enjoy reading your posts and looking at your photography. Do keep it up 🙂

The challenge to make something out of nothing is ever-present. Anybody can make Eiffel Tower look pretty in a picture…

We sound most genuine when we talk about the things we know.

  2. Hey, thank you for the feedback. I continue to enjoy your artwork as well.
