This photo was taken long ago when I spent the weekend at a friend’s house out in rural country. We made spaghetti down n’ dirty with cheese sauce from the packet, frozen meatballs, sans tomato sauce. Paper plates, plastic forks, and store jacked napkins complete the aesthetic.

So maybe it wasn’t the best spaghetti ever but it did hit the spot. Sometimes, like pasta on the fly, simple is best. Who needs pasta sauce when you have ready made seasoning from the pouch? Who needs veg when you have frozen meatballs? Who needs chairs and tables when there’s carpet right beneath your toes? Pop on a movie and let the good times roll.

That was summer and it was sweet.

  1. Ahh reminds me of when I used to make pasta from scratch with all my friends. So much fun. Speaking of which, I realize I should do that for my girlfriend…
