I could tell you that this blade of grass is actually growing out of this giant construction crane tire. That I found life in the most unlikely of places. That somehow the grass and dirt are sustained by the rain and the dirty puddle water the tire drives through every full rotation. But unfortunately that’s not the case. This blade of grass is already dead, uprooted and stained along the grooves of the tire. There is no life to be found here. Mourn flower children, mourn.

“I like it when a flower or a little tuft of grass grows through a crack in the concrete. It’s so fuckin’ heroic.”
—George Carlin
